I'm a Minnesota girl but I've been living in NYC for over 10 years now.  Growing up in Minnesota, I have seen almost every farm animal give birth!  I didn't jump into birthwork right away, though.  I've worked in the film and TV industry since I was in high school trying out many different roles on set.  I ultimately landed in costumes where I worked on shows including "GIRLS", "Orange is the New Black", "You", "Manifest", and many more.

 

Working on a set, I heard someone talking about a doula and I was instantly hooked.  I felt that same fascination that grabbed me as a child watching animals give birth at the Minnesota State Fair.  I started focusing on getting my training and certification and now I'm proud to say that I'm a full time certified doula!

 

I believe that birth can be approached from a place of knowledge and empowerment.  I see myself as a guide that can help you navigate all the preparation and education needed in order to prep for the day of your birth.  I really value creating a judgement-free zone where my clients are able to explore what is fully possible in their birth and be the author of their own stories.
