Laura Dalesme
Birth Doula
Perinatal Yoga and Pilates Instructor
I am French-American, born and raised in France by an American mother and a French father. I first moved to New York City in 2014 for my undergraduate studies, and returned in 2021 to join my husband, Nicholas, a talented fashion designer. My path toward birth work began in 2017 during my Peace Corps service in Paraguay, where I discovered Yoga and began sharing it with local women. There, I witnessed the profound power of movement as a way to reconnect with our bodies, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of empowerment through life’s most meaningful transitions. As a birth doula, I integrate my training as a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor to support expecting parents in building strength, easing discomfort, and fostering mindfulness throughout pregnancy and birth. Holding space, guiding mindful movement, and accompanying people through transformative milestones is where I feel most grounded and purposeful. A core part of my calling is advocating for birthing people, uplifting their voices, honoring their bodily autonomy, and supporting informed decision-making from pregnancy through postpartum. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this remarkable journey of transformation and growth.
